Prakash Singh Punia has been teaching Bhangra at Punjabi Dhadkan Dance Academy since 2019. Having a passion for dance, Prakash took the stage by storm at a tender age. Born and brought up in Chandigarh, India, he won many laurels in competitive Bhangra for both his school and his university. While pursuing his engineering at Panjab University, Chandigarh, Prakash got the opportunity to perform live Bhangra at multiple youth and cultural festivals. This allowed him to not only hone his Bhangra skills but also exhibit them at some of the most competitive stages. With an enhanced focus on expression, postures, and flow of movement, he comes up with innovative choreographies that are thoroughly enjoyed by his students. Maintaining a high-energy atmosphere in his classes, Prakash believes in creating a constructive, passionate, and fulfilling experience for all. Referred to as ‘Coach’ by his students, Prakash leverages his experience to introduce creative teaching methods, thus ensuring a fast learning curve regardless of the skill level of the student. Apart from his love for Bhangra, which allows him to stay connected to his roots and cultural heritage, Prakash also has a passion for singing and acting.
